Remember THIS POST about Kathryn Sansone and Rice-A-Roni? Well, Rice-A-Roni has introduced a new flavor and I got to review it! Their new Italian Creamy Garlic (rice in a creamy garlic and herb sauce) is absolutely delicious! Being a fan of “One Pot” Meals I used the suggestions for add-ins on the back of the box and added in frozen asparagus (they called for frozen broccoli) and chicken. The family loved it and even my toddler asked for seconds!

I like the Beef and use it with some add-ins to make red beans and rice with tomatoes. I just add in a teaspoon of chili powder, a can of red beans and a can of diced tomatoes to make it. I just also heard of a friend replacing 1/3 of the water with apple juice and adding in pieces of left over roast with celery and onions to it for a casserole dish, so I might try it that way some night too.

Our favorite is Fried Rice. We add peas and ground beef. Add a fruit salad on the side and presto! a meal in 20 minutes.
I like the chicken broccoli rice-a-roni flavor. A few years ago I took the Thai Chicken Skillet recipe off the box and it is a family favorite. I am a big fan of starting with Rice-a-roni and adding chicken and veggies! A weekly staple!

There isn't a Rice-A-Roni I don't like!! I guess one of my faves would be the garlic and olive oil vermicelli. I LOVE Rice-A-Roni because you can mix in all kinds of stuff and make them different everytime...but yet they're still great "as is"!
