Angry Birds, anyone???

So have you ever had an addiction that you didn't want anyone to know about?  No, I'm not talking about biting your nails when no one's looking (or ewww, picking your nose, please just don't tell me).

I'll let you in on mine...Facebook.  LOL  There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, of course.  But I'm skittish when I get asked just how many times a day I check it.  I don't know if it's a stress reliever or if I'm just seriously that socially sad that I love seeing what other people are up to (don't get me started on Twitter...hehehe).

For awhile I loved the app games, and one that had a major addiction was Angry Birds.  And the fact that I could have every new game that came out on my iPhone?  Yikes! :D

I love Angry Birds popularity (we currently have an Angry Birds birthday party in the planning for my kids!), and when I found out about angrybirdsjournal.com I was a little intrigued.  I didn't even realize there were so many Angry Birds games out!  And it's cool because they've started an encyclopedia page on angrybirdsjournal.com, too.  (That's really going to come in handy with the BD Party!)  If you are looking for all of the latest updates and game walkthroughs make sure you check out angrybirdsjournal.com.  Did you know they are giving The Bad Piggies their own website?  I think I feel a new addiction coming on...  :D

(Disclosure: This is a paid review, but absolutely all opinions are my own.  Feel free to contact me with any questions.)

Extra Dessert Delights: Review and Giveaway

Trying to lose weight? I am (seems like I'm on a continuous diet, doesn't it?). Two areas I have trouble with are snacking and sweets. Someone suggested I chew gum after every meal, so my mouth will feel clean and I won't want to eat more (Hah! They obviously didn't know me well.) I did buy some fruity gum, though (I always chewed minty), to see if that would help with my sweets craving. And it did! I've went through I don't know how many flavors and brands, but keep coming back to my favorites, Extra Fruit Sensations. So, when Dig Communications contacted me about doing a review for Extra's new Dessert Delights, I was on board!
They offer three dessert flavors: Mint Chocolate Chip, Strawberry Shortcake, and Key Lime Pie. Did they disappoint? Absolutely not! I definitely have a favorite, but let me break it down a little, first.
The first one I tried was Key Lime Pie, since I'm a lime fan. To start, it smells heavenly. And don't ask me how they do it, but it seriously tasted like a bite of Key Lime. There was only one draw back for me---it had an aftertaste. I taste a simliar aftertaste while eating or drinking something with Splenda in it. I checked the package and couldn't find where it said they used Splenda, though. I put it through the hubby test and he said he couldn't taste any type of aftertaste. I also let my little sister try it, and in her own words, "You're crazy!" So, maybe it was just me, but while the first couple minutes of chewing were great, I couldn't get past the aftertaste. On a positive note, the flavor did tend to last longer than the average gum.

Ok, the second one I tried was the Mint Chocolate Chip, and OMGoodness! I loved it! Of course, it could have something to do with that being my favorite ice cream flavor...lol. It smells heavenly, too! You have to probably be a fan of the ice cream because it seriously tastes just like it. I don't know how they got the chocolate undertone to stay while continuing to chew it, but I'm glad they did! It of course was my favorite! I think that the flavor on this one lasts the longest, too. I chewed my first piece well over an hour and a half, and it still had flavor when I spit it out. That's a definite bonus with me.

The Strawberry Shortcake was really good, but it didn't seem very different to me than just a regular strawberry flavor. The flavor didn't seem to last quite as long as the first two, either. It is something I would chew again, although, I think I like their Strawberry Banana Fruit Sensations better.

Two slimpacks of Extra Dessert Delights Key Lime Pie.

Eden Fantasy Review and Giveaway (ADULT EYES ONLY)

**********WARNING*********** This is a review of an adult online store. While done "mildly" the content isn't suitable for underage eyes. (So be careful of the kiddos looking over your shoulder or sitting on your lap!)

Ok, I was kind of leery to do a review for an adult online store, but after taking a look around Eden Fantasys and seeing that it was actually tasteful (and not too "raunchy"), I agreed. Now, don't get me wrong. They offer all of the toys and movies that you'd expect to see on other sites, but I noticed that it wasn't so much an "in your face" type of thing. So right away they got an "A" for tactfulness.

If you aren't into the racier things offered on the website, they also offer a wide variety of bath and body items, lingerie, and even candles.

I was able to choose some items to review, and there is one thing my husband has begged me for for years. Now, don't go letting your minds get in the gutter too bad...lol. He's always wanted me to do a striptease. Those of you who know me personally, don't fall out of your chairs laughing. I'm not exactly Ms. Grace, let alone a perfect size, add these two together and you can see why I've said no all these years. Hubby has always told me it isn't someone's size it's their confidence, that even "big" girls can be sexy. So maybe I'm getting a little sassier now that I'm in my thirties, or whatever, but when I saw The Striptease Kit, I couldn't resist.

With everything you need to take it all off this striptease kit is the perfect introduction into the world of seductive and exotic dancing. The boxed set includes a sheer scarf, red sequin pasties, body glue and glitter, an instruction booklet, and 10 routine cards.
The sheer scarf is soft to the touch and pleasing to the eye, making it a great accompaniment to any striptease, whether you’re wrapping it around your naked body to tease your audience, or using it to bring them closer. The red sequin pasties are nice and bright and will sparkle and shine in the light, while the gold body glitter will shimmer across your curves, mesmerizing your partner in delight.
To help you along in your striptease journey, the included booklet offers several tips, tricks, ideas, and methods on how to go about setting the tone of the evening and how to find your "stripper personality." Once this identity is found, the 10 routine cards are a great way to pick a prearranged theme for your performance. From punk rock girl to sexy executive and beyond, these cards provide step-by-step dance instructions as well as makeup, clothes, and music selections to better complete the atmosphere.

I also ordered the Housewife's Guide to the Practical Striptease, and I have to say it's been a confidence booster. It backs right up what Hubby said, add to that the fact that your special someone gets the prize at the end of the show and he's sure to love it no matter how far from perfect it was.

Toss your mop and gloves aside! You’re about to get naked….The Housewife’s guide to the Practical Striptease is an entertaining, informative manual for women of all shapes and sizes! It’s about time somebody wrote a "How to" for the practical striptease. Everything you ever wanted to know, and a few things you didn’t! Tips and insider secrets from real strippers! Getting lost in the world of diapers and dishes? Rediscover yourself and every sensuous inch of your body! Learn how to use your best assets to know his socks off! Introduce him to the women he married, and would marry all over again…Former International Feature Entertainer and Playboy TV talk show host, Miyoko is your personal coach to an amazing, sensual, and exciting striptease! She’ll tell you the inside scoop of what works as a stripper and what doesn’t!

Well, if nothing else, at least he'll get a big surprise on Valentine's Day. And if I fall flat on my face, it will be something we can look back on and laugh at, even if it does take me a few years!

Oh, and if you're worried about how the items came shipped? Don't be. It was a very unobtrusive package without any logo's or store names on it!

Giveaway:
Want something special for your own Valentine's Day? One of my readers will win a $25 gift certificate to Eden Fantasys!

Dentyne Gum's New Bottle Art Review and Giveaway

You've probably all seen the new Jumbo bottles of Dentyne Gum by now. The 60 count? I love these bigger bottles because I am always irritated when I reach for a piece and OOPS!, the pack is empty. While they aren't as ideal for a purse as a smaller package, they fit perfectly into your car's cup-holder. I keep a small Tupperware Midget in my purse and just fill it up when I need more. No more running out when my breath needs a quick freshening!

And to top it off Dentyne now has Art bottles by artist, Anthony Yankovic. He is a graphic designer and illustrator from Ohio. Be sure to check out his portfolio. There are 12 designs in all, 4 per flavor (Arctic Chill, Spearmint, and Peppermint). While his designs aren't to my personal taste, they do seem to offer a much more modern look to go with the new size and shape of the big bottle.

Giveaway:

So how would you like to see some of these new designer bottles up close and personal? One reader will win 3 Jumbo packs in the new premium badge edition bottles.

Halls Refresh Review and Giveaway!

This time of year it seems like everything is dry. I have dry skin, dry lips, dry hair and dry mouth. I can lotion and condition the first three, but what's the best way to moisten your mouth?

Halls has came out with---no not a cough drop and not really candy either---it's an actual "mouth moistening" product, Halls Refresh.

* Advanced Moisture Action™ formula
* Sugar Free and may be incorporated into the diet of diabetics and others who are monitoring their sugar intake
* 0 grams of sugar per drop

They come in three mouth watering flavors: Refreshing Mint, Juicy Strawberry and Tropical Wave.

I had the pleasure of reviewing the Juicy Strawberry and Tropical Wave. These do what they claim, because my mouth was refreshed and definitely moistened. I just wasn't really crazy with the flavors. The strawberry was probably my favorite out of the two, but I think I was expecting more of a candy flavor because these weren't supposed to be cough drops, but I still felt like they had a medicinal taste. I let my husband try them both and he said that he wouldn't choose them for candy, but more of when he would have a sore throat or throat "itch", and I have to agree. I wouldn't want them for a snack, but they are definitely better tasting than regular cough drops for when you aren't really coughing but have a little "tickle" in your throat. I would like to try the mint flavor to see if I like the taste any better in those. Thankfully I don't suffer from chronic dry mouth, but if someone did, I can see how these would be a help, especially without all the sugar of a candy. I'd love to hear if you guys have tried these and what you thought!

In the meantime Halls is offering some awesome giveaway gifts! One grand prize winner will receive a robe and slippers with the Halls Refresh logo, and 5 runner up winners will receive a Halls Refresh T-Shirt!

4. This contest ends on 12/27/2009, midnight EST.

5. The winners will be contacted by email and will have 2 days to contact me back with their mailing addresses or new winners will be chosen.

2. Become a fan of Halls on Facebook and leave me a comment letting me know you've done so.

3. Subscribe to this blog by email, and leave me a comment letting me know the email address you subscribed with. (You must confirm the subscription for it to count.)

Holey Donuts! Review and $150+ Giveaway

Ok, I am on a diet...and it sucks. LOL Especially this time of year. I keep seeing (and smelling, drooling over...however you want to word it) all of these amazing treats that my family and friends always seem to be eating. So I was definitely ecstatic when I was asked to review Holey Donuts! new Low Fat Cinnamon Bun Middles. I mean, have you seen the pics? They really do warm up to look like that!

These look like they are to die for, and you guessed it...they are! I was amazed that each of these were only 80-100 calories (did you notice the size comparison to the keys?) and 1 gm of fat. They come mailed to your door pre-cooked and frozen. You just pop them in the microwave, and listen for the ding so you can have some ooey-gooey goodness (even if you are on a diet!).

They also sent me the Jumbo Reduced Fat Blueberry Vanilla Cinnamon Buns, and regular Jumbo Reduced Fat Cinnamon Buns to review. And ummm, yeah, the first box lasted all of two minutes when my hubby saw what they were...he loved the Blueberry Vanilla.
The regular Jumbo Cinnamon Buns have only 5 grams of fat compared to a Cinnabon with 54 grams. To me, for the awesome homemade taste that these have, that is just unbelievable.

You really, really have to try these just to see what I mean. And here's your chance!

Giveaway:
One winner will receive

1- Full box of Jumbo Low Fat Cinnamon Buns (4)
1- Full box of Our Awesome Jumbo Low Fat Blueberry Vanilla Buns (4)
1- Full box of Holey Donuts! Low Fat Cinnamon Bun Middles (16)

+$150 Holiday spending cash!

Enter:

Email Holey Donuts! with Confessions of a Stay at Home Mom in the subject line and just a short email saying you'd like to win.

Rules:

1. Confessions of a Stay at Home Mom MUST be in the email subject line or it will not count.

Silk Heart Health Soymilk Review and Giveaway

A recent study found that people who enjoyed three servings of Silk Heart Health per day for four weeks, as part of a sensible diet, lowered their cholesterol by 7%.

Silk Heart Health is the first U.S. soymilk to offer the combined benefit of two proven heart-health ingredients.1

* Soy Protein-a perfect, natural protein recognized by the FDA for its role in heart health.
* Phytosterols-a naturally sourced plant ingredient that also carries the FDA heart-health claim.

From diet and exercise to stress and sleep, every lifestyle choice you make can have an impact on your heart. With clinically shown benefits from two proven ingredients, Silk Heart Health is a natural choice for heart-health confidence you can feel.

Ok, I'm going to be completely honest. When I was contacted to do a review for Silk's new Heart Health Soymilk I was a little nervous. I had never tried soymilk before because I had heard from several people about the "unpleasant" taste. But always up for a challenge, I agreed.

Wow. That's what I have to say. It really tasted good! I don't know if it was because it was vanilla or what, but I really liked it! The added heart health and cholesterol lowering benefits were the "icing on the cake". I received two freebie coupons to get the half gallons for review, so I also got the Simply Silk Chocolate because I figured I could talk the kids into trying it. And yep, it was great too! No neither one tasted like "regular" milk, more like a milk "drink", but they were both really good and I could even easily replace the vanilla one on my cereal. So I tried an experiment on the kids. Before I let them try the chocolate I gave them a glass of the Heart Health with their breakfast for two mornings in a row. Then I let them have the chocolate with supper. The third morning, my son asked where the milk was and I handed him the Silk Heart Health. He said, "No, I don't like soymilk." "Really? It's what you've drank the last two mornings." LOL The look on his face was priceless, and yes, he poured and drank some, then said, "I guess I do like it."

Now, hubs and I don't have cholesterol problems thank goodness, and none of us are lactose intolerant, so I wouldn't replace our milk with this because it's more expensive than "regular". But I'm definitely going to watch for coupons like this $.75/1 Silk because I'm really wanting to try some of these Seasonal Flavors!

Now for the good part!

Giveaway: 10 (Yes, 10!) of my readers will get a coupon for a FREE 1/2 gallon of Silk Heart Health and a FREE Pedometer.

Rules:
1. Entry #1 must be done FIRST or no other entries will count.
2. All comments must have an email address with them, or your email must be in your blogger profile and your profile must be set to public. (I can't contact the winners without this!)
3. US addresses only.
4. The winners will have only 2 days to contact me back with their mailing info or a new winner will be chosen.
5. Giveaway will close 11/24/09, midnight, EST.

To Enter:
1. Leave a comment telling how you keep your heart healthy!
2. Become a Silk Facebook fan and leave me a comment letting me know you did so.
3. Subscribe to my blog by one of these---email (must be confirmed to count), RSS feed, or Google Friend Connect (links on the right sidebar). Leave a comment letting me know how you subscribed.

Good luck!

Softsoap Nutri Serums Body Nourishing Wash Review

Softsoap has the first body wash that has been infused with softening serum pearls. What is a serum? It's a dose of essential nutrients that help nourish and moisturize your skin, leaving it soft, touchable and healthy looking.

Plus it comes in two enriched varieties---Restoring Vitamin E or Moisture-Retaining with Omega 3 & 6. What is Vitamin E? It is naturally produced by your skin, but as you age, productions slows, leading to the breakdown of collagen and elastin. Vitamin E can help restore and protect your skin. What is Omegas 3 & 6? They are essential fatty acids that can help preserve your skin's protective layer, maintaining your skin's moisture.

I received some trial size samples from BzzAgent to try at home and pass out to my friends.

So what did I think after using? I usually only have severely dry skin in the winter, so it would have been put to a better test later in the season. Even though my skin wasn't overly dry to start, I did notice that my skin seemed softer and healthier looking. These are fairly priced at an average of $4 a bottle, and I enjoyed the results well enough that this will go on my coupon/sale "lookout" list. I passed some out to friends and all had positive things to say. The only negative thing brought to my attention was that one of the women didn't have a "scrubbie", and said she had to re-lather her wash cloth a second time because the suds didn't last long. I do use a "scrubbie" and paid attention the next time, and I think she's probably right, it didn't suds as well as some of my other regular brands. But in all honesty, I don't think I would have noticed if she hadn't pointed it out.

Ok, so have any of you used these, yet? They were just released in July so are still considered fairly new. I will mail out a $1 coupon to the first two people to leave a comment on this post.

I did receive trial sized samples and coupons to be able to do this review, but all of the opinions are my own. All of my review opinions are always my own regardless of any products or compensation I may receive.

Handmade Halloween Giveaway w/ Review!

**********THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED**********

Ok, so if you read THIS REVIEW you already know that I'm a fan of YouCanMakeThis.com. They have all kinds of things that you can make with lots of easy to follow instructions and tutorials. And it's not just sewing! They also have, jewelry and beading, cooking and baking, and even photography projects! And you have to love companies that offer FREEBIES!

They sent me their e-book, Fancy Filled Sewn Tutu to review, which includes:
11 pages of instruction,
32 step-by-step diagrams/photographs, and
40 Tutu Recipes!

The very first thing that I want to say about this ebook (and all the others I've seen), is that they have a pic for literally every step. No second guessing on what they might mean in the instructions. They have the visual of what it should look like or what you should be doing right there to go along with it.

The directions are simple and easy to follow, and I loved the "recipes" that they included to make all of the tutus you could want for anything from St. Patrick's Day to just letting the kids have fun dressing up.

And guess what! Not only are they offering this same e-book for one reader to win, but a $50 bundle of Halloween downloads!!!

The winner will get:
Fancy Filled Tutu with Bonus 40 Tutu "Recipes",
Pumpkin Polly Patterns,
Paper Piecing Project:Pumpkin Patch Pillow,
Frayed Applique: Too Cute to Spook!,
Little Miss Spider Applique Patterns,
How to Applique the Easy Way,
Hocus Pocus Patterns, and
Just a Little Something for a Happy Halloween Table Runner.

Wow!!! You'll have everything you need to make an awesome Handmade Halloween!!!
